You wrote a beautiful and generous tribute to your Dad. My father tried to teach me as well. But I didn't realize until lately just how much I am like him. And I'm glad for that. Thanks for sharing!

Your moving, sincere and deeply honest tribute to your Dad is so appreciated and honest. Bless you, your family and especially your Dad.your sharing calls out gratitude and we all feel about our parents, even if we had to grow into recognizing the gifts theygage us. Thank you Mom and Dad for all you did for us!

Thank you, Steve! Your kind reply was so very appreciated. So many times we take life for granted, until that life is gone.

I hope you have a very Happy Father's Day, and thank you for following along! ♥️

Thank you, Sutty! Your reply was most kind! 🩷 Yes, I took after my dad's side, the Irish side of my family. He was an inspiration and taught us kids life lessons that we all carried on in our lives. I would give anything to say a few things I never said, but wouldn't most of us who lost a parent? Take care.

My father died ten years ago. We had been estranged, but reconciled over his brain tumor.

Our three sons are scattered coast to coast but maybe, just maybe, we will get to see our oldest granddaughter today......

....grace and peace to you sister.

To the dads, "Memory Eternal!"🕯️
