That is bound to happen when you write about what you're writing about. Once in a while I write something that causes an exodus. It just comes with the territory, I'm afraid.
It's interesting that those radical republicans that were in power used the media (newspapers) to spread their propaganda to sway public opinion. These tactics parallel what we're experiencing today, with the main stream media parroting our government's talking points on covid, wars, trans rights, misinformation, auditing the various federal departments, etc.
