Monica, only a few days ago I thought of you and wondered why I hadn't seen any posts for a while. Caught up in my own dealings I didn't take the time to investigate, instead assuming it was another Substack glitch or I had just overlooked your posts. Truthfully, I should have stopped and prayed for you. I know from past experience when God brings someone to mind it usually means they could use a prayer. I'm sorry I didn't do it then, but I'm doing it now and will keep you on my prayer list. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Don't worry about your subscribers. They'll still be here when you get back!

🩷 Thank you, my friend for your kind words and prayers! I takes me a bit to get anything written, even a short reply can be difficult, but I will try not to let too much time lapse before I get my next post out. God bless you Jason, your posts are always so inspirational!

I was kind of worried about you. We’ll add you our supper prayer list. Physical therapy is not fun but I met some really gifted therapist. They were always mad at me about getting up on ladders and they thought I was a hasty hobbit. Get well and don’t let yourself get too down . I’ve been there done that. Can wait to read your next piece.

Thank you, my friend! Prayers are always so very welcomed. If the nerve issue continues, I will purchase dictation software. Not writing anything whether on here or other medias has been a real set back and has attributed to some depression. I'll spring back, as I am a survivor, and have faith iny life's purpose. Bless you! 🩷

To a lesser degree, I've been there. Things that helped me physically - homeopathy, red light, high protein, DMSO and micro current. A Midwestern Doctor has covered a couple of these things. My only word of advice is to research PT very carefully. They can do more damage than good so finding a competent one is necessary. A good kinesiologist may help too. Good luck!

Thank you, Sadie! I have always leaned towards homeopathy practices. A few of the things you mentioned was recommended by my Ortho Dr. I started PT and came home in more pain than when I went. I actually am in the process of finding a different one! I appreciate your comment, thank you! ,🩷

That was my experience as well!! The PT I saw had a PhD in the field so I thought I was getting the best. I normally don't follow through on these things but not having any experience with broken bones - other than a toe or 2 that I put back in place and treated myself - I determined that I would do as I was told.

Big mistake! It was awful! She forced my wrist so hard that I nearly fainted - hurt way more than when it broke. The inflammation she created was hard to overcome. I searched out others who had more experience in working WITH the body instead of forcing things, then gave it all up and did my own with my son's advice. He learned things from his massage and martial arts that helped... I think there's a name for it - where you stretch the muscle just barely to resistance, hold it and then go just a bit farther. Within just 2 days of doing that I got 5 more degrees of movement - and with no forcing. If I find where I may have bookmarked it, I will send it on.

You do have to fight against scar tissue but there are other ways of doing that. I still occasionally use DMSO with magnesium oil/castor oil on it.... if it gets more bothersome I will consider Dr Rowen's use of OG (ozonated glycerine) along the scar. My experience - 2 broken wrists - made me realize we really are on our own for our health and recovery. We probably always have been but it's more obvious now.

I believe more damage happened when getting x-rayed in the ER. They twisted my arm and body around so much, that I did pass out. I have a very high tolerance to pain, but this is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Especially after being sent home in a flimsy sling for four days. I've already started treating my 16" scar since it runs down the length of my arm and shoulder on the front side. Who knew that even using my index finger for a few keystrokes would cause hours of undue pain!

Thank you so much for your caring concerns and prayers. I felt like I was a disappointment to my subscribers, but it just wasn't possible to even focus on writing a post. As I heal, I will get back to posting more. I consider you a friend as well, Susan. I hope you have a blessed weekend! 💐♥️

Monica, I will be praying for your full and total recovery and for whatever the Holy Spirit wishes to accomplish in your life as a result of this fall and your recovery. Your account of the situation is very inspiring. God has given you a gift of writing, researching, and inspiration to others via your writing and research. We are all undeserving beneficiaries of that gift. I also totally second Jason A. Clark's comments below and my friend Al Knock's comments below. If there is anything that I can do other than prayer and encouragement, please advise. Take care, Monica!!!

Thank you, Michael for a truly beautiful note! ❤️ At some point we question our worth, this fall made me question mine. It's not always about acquiring just subscribers, but making friends. If I have made a difference in just one person's life by my writings, then I have been blessed. Thank you for your kind words and prayers, they are truly appreciated! ❤️

Get well sister, gravity is a bee-ahtch and the pavement never forgets. ⛑️ 🚑Arms n legs are 'painfully expendable' but the good news is that it sounds like your skull didn't hit 🩼 🩻 the deck-plates, because you are still somewhat coherent.✍🏼🤔😉👍🏼

Grace and peace to you and many years,
